Ruben Peña is an associate in the firm’s Newport Beach office and a member of the Class Action Group. Mr. Peña’s practice includes complex civil litigation with a focus on defending domestic and foreign automotive manufacturers in class action and product liability matters.

Prior to joining Lee, Hong, Degerman, Kang & Waimey, Mr. Peña developed his litigation skills at a boutique firm specializing in consumer protection class actions. His prior experience also includes working at an Internet and new media law firm, where he litigated matters concerning business torts, intellectual property disputes, and online defamation.

Mr. Peña is admitted to practice law before the state and federal courts of California and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the Santa Clara University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Peña served on the Board of Editors for the Santa Clara Law Review and clerked at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of California. At Virginia Wesleyan College (now Virginia Wesleyan University), Mr. Peña earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice and was a member of the men’s lacrosse team.
