Jake Stonich is an associate in the Newport Beach office and a member of the Tort and Products Liability Group. His practice includes product liability litigation, consumer law and warranty litigation, business and insurance defense, and commercial litigation. With a focus on representing domestic and foreign motor vehicle manufacturers and distributors, Mr. Stonich’s practice concentrates on discovery procedures in complex litigation.
Prior to joining Lee, Hong, Degerman, Kang & Waimey, Mr. Stonich developed his litigation skills while defending clients in personal injury and wrongful death claims against automotive component manufacturers. He also has experience in employment law matters by defending employers in wage and hour actions, contract related matters, and class-action disputes.
Mr. Stonich is admitted to practice law before the state and federal courts of California and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, he graduated with Pro Bono High Honors by devoting over 200 hours of service in helping active duty marines, veterans, and their families at the Camp Pendleton Legal Assistance Office. At the University of Washington, Mr. Stonich obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor focus in Geography.
