Omar Ameer Stokley is a senior associate in our Newport Beach Office and part of our automotive practice group. Mr. Stokley’s practice focuses on automotive litigation defense as well as advising automotive and consumer product manufacturers on government regulatory and safety matters. Mr. Stokley has extensive experience in all aspects of class action litigation, including discovery, motion practice, settlement administration, trial preparation, and handling post-trial proceedings. Mr. Stokley has also managed discovery issues in products liability and warranty actions and has played a pivotal role in developing and implementing defense strategies which have achieved successful results for his clients.

Mr. Stokley’s practice also involves analyzing various litigious and regulatory issues at both the State and Federal levels. Mr. Stokley has assisted manufacturers respond to inquiries from federal agencies such as the NHTSA, CPSC, PHMSA, as well as State and Federal Attorney General Offices. Mr. Stokley has also performed industry, litigation, safety, and compliance evaluations for both domestic and for corporations.

Mr. Stokley earned his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude ranking fifth in his class. Mr. Stokley was a member of the Western State Law Review and received several awards for his academic achievements. He graduated with the highest grade point average in the Western States Business Law Studies program. Mr. Stokley worked as an extern for the Los Angeles Office of the Security Exchange Commission during law school.

Mr. Stokley earned his B.A. From Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi in Business Administration with an emphasis on finance. He also played baseball for Jackson State during his tenure. He was nominated for all conference recognition and was Southwestern Athletic Conference pitcher of the week for 3 consecutive weeks during his senior season. In 2006 he was the recipient of the William Winter Scholarship for his academic achievements.
