Norman T. Lee practices in the area of intellectual property, with an emphasis in patent preparation and prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Mr. Lee has extensive prosecution experience in electrical technologies, including wireless communications (3G, LTE, Wi-Fi, Device-to-Device) and mobile devices. His practice has also encompassed other fields of technology, including display panels, automated test equipment, electrical circuits and sensors, oil and gas drilling, electronic musical instruments and medical devices.

Prior to joining LHDK&W, Mr. Lee prepared and prosecuted patent applications at a prominent intellectual property law firm in Los Angeles. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Lee designed and developed spacecraft systems – first, as a flight systems engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and, then, as an RF payload systems engineer at Boeing Satellite Systems (formerly, Hughes Space & Communications). His graduate studies in electrical engineering focused on communications and networking (error-correction coding, information theory, stochastic systems and modeling).

Mr. Lee is admitted to practice in California, the District of Columbia, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He is also registered to practice before the USPTO.

Mr. Lee was awarded as a Los Angeles County Volunteer of the Year for his work with the County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project.
