Sung H. Choi is a Senior Associate in the New York office of Lee, Hong, Degerman, Kang & Waimey, specializing in the areas of business law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and real estate.
Mr. Choi has extensive experience representing international clients with U.S. business operations in connection with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and litigation management. He leads, negotiates, drafts, and manages all matters of contracts and transactions. Mr. Choi is also experienced in handling a variety of business challenges and crises on behalf of clients, such as high-stakes contractual disputes, regulatory proceedings or investigations, and public relations inquiries. He has helped both corporations and corporate executives minimize legal exposure and protect the company from bigger risks. His clientele ranges from a prominent U.S. restaurant chain to a Fortune Global 500 company.
Prior to entering private practice in 2018, Mr. Choi served as the first general counsel at H Mart Companies, Inc. for 13 years, where he successfully handled and managed all legal affairs of the largest Asian American supermarket company in the U.S. With in-depth knowledge and a wide array of legal experience in both the private practice and in-house settings, he is able to address the most complicated issues and focus on what matters most to clients.
