Kareem Aref serves as Of Counsel with the firm, where he focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, criminal defense, and trial advocacy. Mr. Aref also serves as an adjunct professor of trial advocacy at Loyola Law School.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Aref served as a Deputy District Attorney at the San Bernardino County, where he managed countless cases, including major felony cases.

Mr. Aref earned his Juris Doctor from UC Davis Martin Luther King Jr. School of Law, where he was distinguished as a member of the Order of the Barrister and received awards for his public service efforts.

Mr. Aref serves on the Board of Governors for the California Attorneys for Criminal Justice and is a former President of the Western San Bernardino Bar Association.

Mr. Aref is admitted to practice law in the State of California and the United States District Court, Central, Eastern, and Southern District of California.
