Jessica B. Avery is an partner in the Newport Beach office and a member of the Tort and Products Liability Group. Her practice includes product liability litigation, business and insurance defense litigation, and general civil litigation. Mrs. Avery has experience defending domestic and international corporations against personal injury, contractual, construction, and business related claims.
Mrs. Avery has extensive experience managing and coordinating complex state and federal discovery matters for national and foreign entities, including motor vehicle distributors, manufacturers and financing entities. Mrs. Avery specializes in the effective coordination of document retention, discovery responses, document production and discovery dispute resolution on a national basis, successfully defending her clients in cases and investigations throughout the United States.
Mrs. Avery earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California at Los Angeles with honors. She also studied British History and Literature at the University of Cambridge in England. Mrs. Avery received her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School where she was awarded a full academic scholarship. While at Loyola Law School, Mrs. Avery was Chief Articles Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International & Comparative Law Review. Additionally, Mrs. Avery served as a judicial extern for Justice Thomas Willhite of the California Court of Appeal.
Mrs. Avery is admitted to practice in the State of California, the U.S. District Court, Central District of California and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. She is a member of the Orange County Bar Association.
