
Soo A. Hong practices in the area of intellectual property with focus on patent litigation, intellectual licensing matters, as well as other complex commercial, products liability and employment litigations.
Ms. Hong currently serves as the National Discovery Counsel for a major international corporation, and regularly works with discovery teams in patent litigation. She handles electronic discovery and management of large document cases throughout the United States and before the International Trade Commission, in matters involving mobile communications, cellular telephone systems, home entertainment and display technologies. She is also involved in licensing negotiation, and regularly counsels clients on licensing agreements involving home entertainment and display technologies.
Ms. Hong also has substantial experience in the representation of clients in all aspects of complex commercial and products liability litigation, including handling all aspects of automobile products liability defense in complex rollover litigation involving sport utility vehicles, including researching complex issues related to handling and stability of sports utility vehicles, pleadings, discovery and the oversight of dynamic handling and stability testing. She also has substantial experience advising manufacturers/distributors in matters of regulatory compliance, including federal safety standards, federal and state environmental standards and federal trade commission regulations.
Ms. Hong is admitted to practice before the state courts of California.
