Kay Y. Suh is an associate in the Los Angeles office and is a member of the corporate transactional and litigation groups. Ms. Suh represents and advises foreign and domestic enterprises in a broad range of corporate and business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, liquidation, securities and financing, and other corporate and business matters ranging from day-to-day business operations to the development and implementation of transactions and agreements. Ms. Suh also represents and advises clients on various matters involving commercial disputes, employment issues, banking and financial services involving creditor/debtor, and commercial lending issues. Ms. Suh speaks, reads, and writes Korean fluently and regularly communicates verbally and in writing with Korean-speaking clients.
Ms. Suh obtained her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. Ms. Suh received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University, School of Law, where she received honors scholarship, and served as a representative of the Student Bar Association. During law school, Ms. Suh participated in the Summer Abroad Program at Sungkyunkwan University, School of Law in Seoul, Korea, and also interned at the Constitutional Court of Korea and Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). Ms. Suh also served as Vice Chair of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and as Law Student Council of the Asian American Bar Association.
Ms. Suh currently serves as the President of the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California. She is a member of the International Association of Korean Lawyers, Asian American Bar Association, National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, California Minority Counsel Program, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society.
Ms. Suh is admitted to practice law in the State of California, and the United States District Court, Northern and Central District of California.
